Did you know you have an option to opt-in for overdraft protection for your debit card and ATM card transacations so that your debit card transactions are covered?

Our discretionary ATM/debit card overdraft protection service is designed with your convenience in mind.  After all, its key advantage is providing a safety net in the rare case that you find yourself in an overdrawn position and in need of emergency funds to complete a transaction. By opting in and allowing us to authorize transactions despite the overdrawn status of the account - and agreeing to incur any fees that may arise - you gain the peace of mind that you can conduct your personal business and transactions without disruption.

What You Neeed to Know: EMV

Chip cards are credit and debit cards embedded with a microprocessor on the front and the traditional magnetic stripe on the back.  They are known as 'chip', 'smart' or 'EMV' (Europay, MasterCard(R) and Visa (R) cards).

Chip cards provide strong transaction security when used at a chip-enabled terminal.  This added layer of security can help minimize cardholder impact when a data breach occurs.

EVB will begin converting credit cards in late 2015.  Debit cards will begin converting throughout 2016.
