Whether you're planning for retirement or simply saving for a rainy day, EVB provides a variety of savings accounts to meet your needs.

 

REWARD MONEY MARKET

The Reward Money Market Account earns money market interest rates on a sliding scale based on account balance. The account has no monthly maintenance fee when a minimum daily balance of $2,500 is maintained. Should the balance fall below the minimum required, the balance continues to earn interest in accordance with a tiered structure. The Reward Money Market Account requires the customer to have an EVB checking account with a scheduled ACH credit or debit. Interest is compounded monthly and credited to the account.

Access to EVB Online Banking and Bill Pay Service is included. You will also be issued an EVB Visa check card for use at ATMs and Visa merchants.  Withdrawals are limited to six per month at no charge. Withdrawals exceeding this limit are assessed a fee per withdrawal.  No more than six preauthorized withdrawals, automatic or telephonic transfers, checks, drafts, and debit card or other similar transactions may be made from your account per month.  The minimum opening deposit is $100.  An EVB checking account is required.

 

PERSONAL MONEY MARKET

The Personal Money Market Account earns money market rates. The account provides Online Banking, Bill Pay Services and a VISA check card. There is no monthly maintenance fee when a minimum daily balance of $2,500 is maintained.

Should the balance fall below the minimum required, the balance continues to earn interest in accordance with a tiered structure. Interest is compounded monthly and credited to the account. No more than six preauthorized withdrawals, automatic or telephonic transfers, checks, drafts, and debit card or other similar transactions may be made from your account per month.  Withdrawals exceeding this limit are assessed a $6 per withdrawal fee. The minimum opening deposit is $100. The monthly maintenance fee of $6 is waived with a $2,500 minimum daily balance.

 

PERSONAL SAVINGS

EVB pays the market rate on Personal Savings Accounts.  Interest is compounded and paid quarterly.  Withdrawals are limited to six per month at no charge.  Withdrawals exceeding this limit are assessed a fee per withdrawal.  No more than six preauthorized withdrawals, automatic or telephonic transfers, checks, drafts, and debit card or other similar transactions may be made from your account per month.   

The minimum opening deposit is $100. The quarterly maintenance fee of $4 is waived with a $100 minimum daily balance. The minimum opening deposit and minimum balance requirements are waived for minors under the age of 18.

 

CHRISTMAS CLUB SAVINGS

Christmas Club Savings allows accountholders to earn interest with no minimum balance requirements. Periodic deposits to club accounts are debited directly from your EVB account. Funds earn simple interest, which is paid at the end of the club account period. The minimum opening deposit is $1.

 

VACATION CLUB SAVINGS

Vacation Club Savings allows accountholders to earn interest with no minimum balance requirements. Periodic deposits to club accounts are debited directly from your EVB account. Funds earn simple interest, which is paid at the end of the club account period. The minimum opening deposit is $1.

 

COVERDELL EDUCATION SAVINGS

Coverdell Education Savings Accounts are trust or custodial accounts created to save for qualified educational expenses. Contributions are allowed for individuals under the age of 18.

EVB offers a variety of Individual Retirement Accounts for those seeking savings programs designed to accumulate retirement income. Options include traditional IRA's, Roth IRAs, and Simplified Employee Pension (SEP) accounts. Please contact a customer service representative at any EVB branch for complete information.
