A Message from the President of EVB

At EVB, our slogan is "Community Banking Since 1910." We chose that slogan for two reasons. First, we wanted people to remember that we are a community bank. Anyone can provide financial products and services, but a community bank goes the extra mile to build relationships with customers.

Second, we wanted people to know just how long we've been here. Our origins date back to 1910, when Southside Bank and the Bank of Northumberland first opened for business. We're proud to carry on their legacy today, more than 99 years later. Hanover Bank joined us in 2000, completing the family of community banks now known as EVB.
